Governance

Since 2005, CFDT-MAE has been the most representative union at the Ministry. As of  the 1st of May 2024, our organization counted over 1,050 paying members (representing 8% of overall staff under job threshold scheme and over 6% of total MEAE staff, locally-recruited colleagues in the cultural network included), and about twenty sections worldwide.

The CFDT-MAE Union Council (CS), currently made of 23 members, is the union's decision-making and political body. Among them, 8 members are elected in the executive committee - including the general secretary, assisted by two deputy general secretaries, and the treasurer - each politically accountable to the CS for one or more of the union's missions.
