Take part in union activities during working hours
With more than 35% of the votes cast in the last professional elections in December 2022,the CFDT-MAE has consolidated its position as the most representative union of the Ministry’s staff. Thanks to your renewed confidence, our organization now has a significant amount of union time at its disposal, which it can use to recruit permanent staff from its DAS (décharges d’activité de service) quota.
This DAS quota enables agents designated by our organization to carry out full-time or part-time union activities at the Paris (Invalides ) or Nantes (Breil IV) headquarters, in place of their professional activities.
As part of the 2023 transparency initiative, the CFDT-MAE is currently recruiting new permanent staff who are keen to learn and join a caring, experienced and committed work team, while helping to defend the collective and individual interests of our members, activists and supporters, and the wider working community.
Above all, we’re looking for people who share the values of the CFDT-MAE, who want to defend the quality of working life for our staff, and who are committed to social progress for all categories of staff, whatever their status.
The areas of activity within an office are varied: providing advice to our members and staff representatives in France and abroad, answering questions from sympathetic colleagues, providing administrative support (SAGHA manager, monitoring the social dialogue meeting schedule), monitoring regulations, taking part in social dialogue meetings and negotiations, providing occasional support to the treasurer for managing subscriptions and travel logistics, internal missions and training.
It is also possible, on a voluntary basis, to travel abroad to meet our members, representatives and elected representatives, as well as agents in embassies, consulates and institutes.
What is the administrative status and remuneration of employees who have been granted leave from work?
The administrative status of the agents concerned remains unchanged. An assignment to a union office is considered as a “central administration” assignment by the HR department, and is subject to the same rules as other assignments.
Permanent staff continue to receive their indexed salary and the RIFSEEP bonuses corresponding to their grade, while enjoying the same rights in terms of promotion, leave and ARTT days.
Permanent staff retain their monthly bonuses from their last position at the head office, and receive the additional CIA allowance (known as the “June”, “performance” or “modulation” bonus) at the average level for the category to which they belong (A, B or C).
Permanent employees may, at the request of the union council, apply to work part-time or telework.
Once the applications have been validated by the Trade Union Council, we take the necessary steps with the administration to prepare for the agents’ assignment to the duty station (if you are assigned to the head office, you will be able to join the duty station in just a few weeks).
